Watertight Diecast Aluminium Enclosures w/ Flanges 1550ZF Series from Hammond Manufacturing

The new 1550ZF Series of watertight diecast aluminium enclosures with flanges from Hammond Manufacturing are are independently tested to meet IP66, IP67, and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings. The rugged diecast aluminium alloy enclosures are tough yet easy to machine.

Key Features:

  • Thick-wall diecast aluminum watertight electronic instrument enclosure.
  • Rugged diecast aluminum alloy is tough yet easy to machine.
  • Two piece tongue and groove construction for protection against access of dust and water.
  • Strong spot-welded bottom flange allows for easy mounting.
  • Unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
  • Textured black version is coated with tough polyester powder for a lasting finish, even after machining. Finish is applied outside and inside the enclosure.
  • Lid is secured with either two, four, or six stainless steel Philips head machine screws, depending on enclosure size.
  • Lid screws are outside the gasket protection area to eliminate the need for o-rings.
  • Lid screws are self-captivating on six sizes: 1550Z107F1550Z108F1550Z116F1550Z117F1550Z137F, and 1550Z139F. Lid holes are slightly undersized and threaded with the first installation. 
  • Gasket is pre-formed, one-piece silicone rubber and installs easily into lid groove.
  • Gasket has a temperature rating of -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to 302°F).
  • No internal ribs for easy installation of connectors without interference or additional milling.

Ratings:

  • cUL and UL listed under file #E71073.
  • Independently tested to meet IP66, IP67, and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings.
    • Customers should conduct their own testing to determine suitability for any specific application.
  • All sizes except 1550Z101F carry an impact rating of IK08 per IEC62262.
