All the latest power transmission and fluid power solutions on show at HANNOVER MESSE

Manufacturers of power transmission and fluid power technologies provide components that are absolutely essential to the quality and reliability of industrial plant and machinery. For the first time ever at HANNOVER MESSE, virtually every aspect of the power transmission and fluid power industry will be featured in the northern exhibition halls that are home to the IAMD (Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives) show. The displays there will revolve around smart hydraulic, pneumatic, actuator and drive components for manufacturing – in other words, critical building blocks for efficient, fault-free Industry 4.0 production.

The power transmission and fluid power section of the IAMD show will feature around 1,000 exhibitors and occupy halls 20 through 25. The exhibits on display will illustrate the steady transformation of tried-and-proven mechanical components and systems into intelligent mechatronic components and systems. “Worldwide, HANNOVER MESSE is the only platform where components and systems fundamental to industrial plant, machinery and electrical systems are presented in an integrated fashion alongside digital technologies from software providers and IT companies,” explains Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Managing Board of Deutsche Messe as the organizers of HANNOVER MESSE.

“HANNOVER MESSE enables providers of power transmission and fluid power systems to network with providers of sensor, electronics and IT solutions, so that together they can better harness the power of digitization in the interests of technological convergence. This is important, because the market is increasingly calling for intelligent mechatronic systems, not must mechanical drive technology.”

HANNOVER MESSE is the most important trade fair and dialogue hub for the power transmission and fluid power industry. Exhibitors from this industry benefit enormously from the IAMD show’s synergies with other shows taking place under the umbrella of HANNOVER MESSE. They also benefit from dialogue with the high-level business and political leaders who are naturally drawn to HANNOVER MESSE as the world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology. This year, a key part of this mix is the participation of a highly industrialized nation as Partner Country : Sweden. Sweden and Germany have a long history of close cooperative ties, a key relationship that was further strengthened at the start of 2017 with the signing of an innovation partnership agreement. Under the agreement, the two countries have pledged to cooperate at political, economic and institutional level. The partnership encompasses several key areas, including mobility, ongoing digital development of industry, joint research activities, Industry 4.0 test projects and the fostering of digitization and automation in small and mid-sized companies.

Sweden’s economy is growing steadily. On an international comparison, the country places near the front of the pack on all scores, from business climate to startups, and its strengths in terms of innovation and quality of life make its companies highly desirable trade and investment partners.

Quite apart from the Partner Country showcase, the number of Swedish companies exhibiting at HANNOVER MESSE has doubled over recent years. This is due in some measure to the Swedish Energy Agency, which this year, for the second year running, is staging national pavilions in the Integrated Energy and Industrial Supply sections of the show.
