Next Generation CNC and Servo Systems

By Debra Schug, PR and Content Lead

With an installation base of more than 5 million CNCs and over 60 years of CNC technology development experience, FANUC is a world leader in factory automation. To kickoff this year, they are proud to present FANUC’s powerhouse dynamic duo to help provide the industry with the best machine tools: αi-D Series Servo Motors and the Plus CNC Series.

Modern manufacturing with αi-D Servo Series

FANUC’s αi-D Series Servo system delivers high speed and high precision while reducing energy consumption. The enhanced servo performance has exceptionally smooth operation to achieve fine surface machining and positioning. This series is IP67 rated, as standard for waterproof protection in heavy washdown or harsh environments. The αi-D Series Servo system is compatible with all current FANUC CNC Plus Series control models.

The Power of 30i-B Plus

The FANUC Series 30i-B Plus CNC is ideal for highly complex machines with multiple axes, multi-path and high-speed high-precision machining requirements. This CNC Series takes machining to the next level with an enhanced state-of-the-art CPU for faster and increased processing power. Built for advanced manufacturing, the control system includes optimized features designed to simplify 5-axis machining.

Reliable production machining 0i-F Plus

FANUC designed the 0i-F Plus CNC to help machine shops achieve more efficient operations through optimizing spindle performance, reducing sequencing processing time, and a customizable, user-friendly interface. The 0i-F Plus boasts more memory and processing power than previous iterations. These advancements translate to faster block processing times, quicker communication with the servo motors, and smoother tool path formation on the shop floor.

Motion control system with Power Motion i-A Plus

FANUC’s Power Motion i-A Plus (PMi-A Plus) is the control of choice for general motion control systems. With the ability to control multiple pieces of industrial equipment as well as run multiple programs simultaneously and independently, PMi-A Plus is the perfect solution to handle all complex motion control needs. PMi-A Plus’ advanced functions enable flexible motion control by using position, speed, torque and/or pressure feedback. Applications perfect for PMi-A Plus are controlling machines used for filling, winding, packing/wrapping, printing, press fitting, packaging, stamping and more.
