Omron Whitepaper – MVRC: Mark, Verify, Read and Communicate

Across a wide variety of systems and applications, three-phase induction motors are too important to fail. If and when failure does occur, it can result in unexpected downtime at a high cost to the facility. For this reason, it’s important to invest in a continuous monitoring system for these integral components of your facility.
Last fall Drives & Control Solutions had the opportunity to tour Yaskawa America’s primary low voltage drive production facility. The facility is located in Buffalo Grove, IL, just outside of Chicago. Hosting both an assembly facility and roughly 100,000 sq/ft warehouse and distribution centre, the site is quite impressive, particularly considering the level of efficiency employed.
Protecting human safety is a huge undertaking when it comes to operating a mine. With regulations in place, safeguards on machinery and in-depth training, we put a major emphasis on keeping workers safe, but is it enough? Is there more than can be done?
In the absence of a predictive maintenance strategy, manufacturers must take care of their equipment with regularly scheduled preventive maintenance. According to Plant Engineering, manufacturers spend an average of 19 hours per week maintaining their equipment.

April 18, 2023 Modern conveyors are integral systems in moving products from location to location within manufacturing plants, warehouses and distribution centers around the world. Not only must they be supplied with power to keep the belts and rollers moving, but also data/communication for sub-systems that include such items as RFID scanners and vision systems…
Weidmüller’s scalable engineering software, u-control 2000, adapts individually to your requirements. And, the u-control is powerful, compact and fully compatible with Weidmüller’s I/O system u-remote. This article looks at what makes u-control the heart of your automation.
Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are one of the main components of any automated system. A typical control system has inputs, outputs, controllers (i.e., PLCs), and some type of human interaction with the system, a human machine interface (HMI), for example.
September 16, 2025 In the race toward smarter, more automated industrial operations, every microsecond counts. In response to rising demands for higher precision, speed, and synchronization across industries like robotics, packaging, and semiconductors, EtherCAT has become the standard for high-performance motion control. Its unique “on-the-fly” processing principle delivers deterministic, high-speed communication that traditional industrial Ethernet… Read More…
September 9, 2025 By Krystie Johnston Schneider Electric Canada is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to transform energy management across various end markets. To help buildings in Canada reach net zero, Schneider takes a multi-pronged approach to leverage AI to identify energy inefficiencies in homes and commercial and industrial institutions and monitor and adapt the technologies… Read More…
