New System Release 1.24 – PILZ’s PSS 4000

New system release PSS 4000 1.24

February 24, 2023

New system release PSS 4000 1.24
New functions are available for the automation system PSS 4000 with system release 1.24. Information about the most important ones is available here in the overview

New data types FIXED and LFIXED

The data types FIXED (fixed point number with 6 decimal places) and LFIXED (fixed point number with 11 decimal places) are now available for the controller PSSu H PLC2 FS SN SD(-T). As a result, more complex arithmetic calculations are now possible.

Nesting of data types up to a depth of 16

The declaration of data types in the user program is now possible with a nesting depth of up to 16 with system release 1.24. Each dimension of an array variable (ARRAY) is also added to the nesting depth. That enables you to structure the project better.

Increased security through the function “Link device projects to devices”

Previously, devices with a device key have also executed projects that had no project key. Now it can be configured that a device with a device key only executes projects with the appropriate project key. This guarantees that only projects that are actually assigned to the device can be executed on the device.

Support of Windows 11

The use of PAS4000 under Windows 11 is now supported.
