Panduit Announces Certification to offer MMC Products
July 21, 2025

Panduit, a global leader in innovative electrical and network infrastructure solutions, is excited to announce its certification by US Conec to offer MMC products, including the MMC connector. This certification further cements Panduit’s commitment to providing cutting-edge technology to its customers.
Optimized for 800G and beyond, the MMC connector is the next generation of ultra high-density fiber connectivity. It is a Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) multi-fiber optical connector that provides three times the density of a MPO connector at just one-third the size. Utilizing US Conec’s DirectConec™ push-pull technology, the MMC connector enables the highest functional fiber density available in the market. This summer will also see Panduit launch MMC-16 assemblies, combination interconnects with MMC-16 and MPO-8, and a variety of high-density panels.
The MMC product line is the latest addition to the Panduit ultra high-density cable management portfolio. It joins the recently released groundbreaking Base-16 Fiber Cabling System as well as the Base-8 MPO Interconnect Cable Assemblies. Also available from Panduit is RapidID™, a network mapping system that automates labor-intensive cable documentation to reduce the time and cost of patch cord documentation.
“Offering the MMC product line is a great example of our commitment to driving innovation and helping customers improve their business efficiency,” said David Newman, product line manager of DC Connectivity at Panduit. “Our MMC deployment with RapidID solves the issues of fiber density created by AI and Hyperscale Data Centers by increasing fiber density while effectively managing cable identification for Day 2 operations.”
