Angled M12 Device Connector for THR from Phoenix Contact

June 9, 2025

Angled M12 Device Connector for THR

Phoenix Contact offers angled M12 connectors for reflow (THR) processing that have been specially developed for automated production.

The connector enables efficient mounting processes and, due to its angled design, can be positioned flexibly on the PCB, even in confined spaces.

The new M12 right angle connector is suitable for pick-and-place, which facilitates automated assembly on the PCB and thus helps to increase efficiency in production. The optimized design with shifted center of gravity means that the connector stands “effortlessly” on the PCB without the need for locking clips. The M12 connector is designed for voltages up to 250 V and currents up to 4 A. It is available in A and D codings and in four-, five- and eight-position versions. Due to its modular design, the connector is compatible with the available THR housings.

Grey Is the New Colour: Phoenix Contact Moves Over to Unprinted Packaging

The colorful packaging used by Phoenix Contact for decades will soon become a thing of the past. Unprinted packaging is the way into the future, replacing the colors May Green, Blue-Green, and the familiar brand mark, the signal chain. The main reasons for the changeover are sustainability and security of supply.

The changeover does not affect the technical properties of the packaging, nor does it affect the dimensions or automated processes. With this step, Phoenix Contact continues to pursue the goal within its own sustainability strategy of improving resource efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.
