Quantum leap in noise reduction -- Rexroth introduces new low-noise external gear pump With their SILENCE PLUS Rexroth introduces a new generation of external gear pumps whose noise level has been reduced by an average of 15 dB(A) compared with a conventional external gear pump. The new pump is also characterized by a subjectively much more pleasant, deeper sound. The SILENCE PLUS is of special interest for use in applications with electric motor drives -- for example in fork lifts, lift platforms or industrial power units. Such drives then become significantly quieter in pressure ranges up to 280 bar. http://www.boschrexroth.com/SILENCE-PLUS

Did you know that 98% of a large motor or generator is recyclable? ABB Large Motors and Generators in Sweden have recently joined forces with Stena Recycling to offer our customers an opportunity to recycle their old machines. The deal ensures that end-of-life motors/generators are recycled in an environmentally friendly way and the metals are reused in new products made in Europe. Not only is there a sustainability benefit for our customers, there's also a financial benefit in the form of discounts on new large motors and generators purchased from ABB.

ABB has upgraded its extensive range of High Dynamic Performance (HDP) induction motors to offer even higher power density and a broader scope for machinery applications. Motors are offered as part of a complete package with variable speed drives (VSDs) for precise control and maneuvering capabilities. This creates new opportunities for machine-building OEMs seeking motor and drive solutions with excellent dynamic response and high power density.

Making industries more competitive with ABB’s large new robots. Introducing IRB 5710 and IRB 5720 powered by ABB’s new OmniCoreTM controller V250XT featuring ABB’s TrueMove and QuickMove motion control technology. The OmniCore V250XT controller enables the robots to offer class-leading speed, improving production capacity with lower manufacturing times.

Unlock new industries with ABB’s IRB 5710 and IRB 5720 large robots for material handling on EV battery production. EV designs can often be highly complex, and components such as batteries and semiconductor modules can be very heavy or extremely fragile. These demands call for solutions that can offer maximum precision and repeatability to avoid errors in production whilst also improving worker health and safety. ABB’s new large robots will increase the speed and flexibility for material handling on the EV battery production.
