STUDSON Launches Guardian and Watchman Safety Eyewear for Enhanced Workplace Eye Protection

North American safety helmet innovator STUDSON has announced the availability of two new safety eyewear lines for customers: the Guardian and Watchman safety glasses. These options represent a significant advancement in workplace eye protection, offering ANSI Z87+ impact certification, superior optical clarity, and innovative design features that address the critical need for comprehensive eye safety in industrial and construction environments.

“The Guardian and Watchman eyewear do not just meet stringent safety standards, they exceed them while providing the comfort and functionality that encourages consistent use among workers,” said Ryan Barnes, founder and CEO, STUDSON. “They are engineered to provide a comfortable fit when worn with our SHK-1 safety helmets, combining advanced materials, thoughtful design, and rigorous testing that reflects STUDSON’s broader commitment to innovation in workplace safety.”

Guardian Safety Glasses

The Guardian line feature a secure fit with a classic look, incorporating an eight-base curve wrap design that provides comprehensive coverage while maintaining a lightweight feel. There are multiple lens options to accommodate various work environments, and all models are certified for ANSI Z87+ high-impact safety standards, Z80.3 optical clarity and safety testing, and CE certification for international compliance. Options include clear polycarbonate lenses for general indoor use; yellow-green mirrored polycarbonate lenses for high-glare conditions; black polarized polycarbonate lenses for enhanced visual comfort in bright conditions; and amber polarized polycarbonate lenses that provide superior contrast enhancement.

Watchman Safety Glasses

The Watchman glasses are specifically built for high-output environments, combining lightweight comfort with full-wrap protection and high-contrast lenses to deliver clarity where it counts most. The Watchman line is ideal for job sites, industrial facilities, and demanding contractor use, featuring ANSI Z87+ impact rating with anti-scratch and anti-fog coating. They include a durable-yet-featherlight polycarbonate frame, comfort-grip nosepiece and temples, and an unrestricted field of view that allows workers to maintain full situational awareness.

Protection Against Workplace Eye Injuries

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), approximately 20,000 eye injuries occur in U.S. workplaces each year, with the majority being preventable through proper eye protection. Th agency found that nearly three out of every five workers who suffered eye injuries were not wearing eye protection, while others were wearing inadequate or improper protection for their specific work environment. Organizations that invest in high-quality safety equipment often see returns in the form of reduced injury rates, lower insurance costs, improved worker morale, and enhanced productivity.
