DC Energy Meters Type DMED4 for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

LOVATO Electric launches the new DMED4 DC energy meters for electric vehicle charging stations.

They are available in three electrical sizes with a maximum current of 150A, 400A, and 600A and a maximum operating voltage of 1500VDC, making them suitable for fast charging applications.

The wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C allows installation in outdoor environments, capable of withstanding very severe thermal conditions.

They are designed in a compact housing, offering numerous mounting options, both on bars and screws, to ensure maximum installation versatility.

The entire range is equipped with an onboard display for viewing measurements (energy, current, voltage and temperature) and event logs for recording metrological events with a timestamp.

DMED4 is available in a version with an integrated RS485 port (type DMED403…) or a dual communication port RS485 + Ethernet (type DMED404…).

The DMED4 energy meters combine technical strengths with the most requested international certifications: the entire range is MID certified and cURus for sale in the North American market, and complies with the requirements of the VDE-AR-E 2418-3-100 ed.2020 standard, used by charging station manufacturers to meet the obligations arising from the German calibration law Eichrecht, MessEG (Measurement and Calibration Act), MessEV (Measurement and Calibration Ordinance).

The range is completed by a series of accessories for wiring and the external data concentrator and display DMED4DC1, an ideal solution for applications requiring the display of information from outside the charging station. DMED4DC1 can be connected to 1 to 4 energy meters for electric vehicle charging stations, choosing between DC versions (DMED4…) or AC versions (DMED341…), with DIN rail or panel mounting.
