Schneider Electric Canada Inaugurates a New Production Line in Brossard, Quebec

A strategic expansion that strengthens local manufacturing to support Canada’s energy transition

Schneider Electric Canada, a global leader in energy management and automation, announces the expansion of its facility in Brossard, Quebec. This strategic development includes the addition of a new production line dedicated to the local manufacturing of the company’s advanced electrical equipment and power distribution devices—essential components for the electrification of buildings, hospitals, data centres, and infrastructure across Canada.

This major milestone was celebrated during an inauguration ceremony on June 4, 2025, marking a significant investment that brings manufacturing closer to Canadian customers and reinforces the company’s commitment to local innovation and resilience.

“At Schneider Electric, one of our core principles is that while we operate globally, we make decisions locally in the best interest of our customers,” said Emily Heitman, President of Schneider Electric Canada. “This investment strengthens our ability to better serve Quebec and the Canadian market.”

The expansion will create new jobs in Quebec and improve delivery times for Canadian customers. It also enhances Schneider Electric’s ability to support the country’s energy transition and infrastructure resilience by ensuring the local production of critical components.

The ceremony featured speeches by Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard; Marie Lapierre, Consul General of France in Montreal; Emily Heitman, President of Schneider Electric Canada; and Fredrick Morency, VP of Sustainability, Strategic Initiatives & Innovation. Their remarks highlighted the importance of local manufacturing, sustainability, and innovation in building a more electrified and efficient future for Canada.
