IronHorse Farm Duty and Open Drip-Proof Motors from AutomationDirect

September 9, 2020

AutomationDirect has added more farm duty and open drip-proof motors to its extensive general- purpose AC induction motors lineup.

New IronHorse MTF2 series farm duty motors, priced from $359.00, are totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) single-phase 208-230V, 1800 RPM AC motors with increased horsepower ranges from 2hp to 10hp. The NEMA T-frame motors are IP55 rated and have cast-iron end housings with rolled steel bodies. Farm Duty motors are designed for applications requiring high starting torque and moderate starting current and are used to power agitators, augers, compressors, conveyors, feeders, hay hoists, grinders, blowers and for other general-purpose heavier materials applications.

New IronHorse MTDP series open drip-proof three-phase motors (from $197.00) range in size from 1hp to 50hp at 1800 rpm and 3hp, 5hp, and 7.5hp at 3600 rpm. Frame sizes are available from 143T to 326T. All models have a rolled steel frame; frame sizes up to 256T have cast aluminum end bells, while frame sizes of 284T or larger have cast iron end bells. All frame sizes have a fixed base.

These new AutomationDirect IronHorse motors are cURus certified, CE approved and have a 2-year warranty.
