CARLO GAVAZZI has launched the HDMS Series, a single-phase motor soft-starter. It is an ideal solution for systems used in areas with weak power grids. Its unique design and control algorithm eliminate the need for a traditional start capacitor, effectively increasing reliability. This same innovative control strategy allows the HDMS to easily start Capacitor Start / Capacitor Run (CSCR) motors, and in the case of Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) motors, virtually eliminate the starting current.

 

 

 

KEB America today introduced EtherNet/IP for its S6 servo drive and F6 VFD products.  EtherNet/IP is immediately available with firmware version 2.6 and higher with the Application control board. KEB’s implementation uses the AC Drive Profile to increase interoperability between similar device types. KEB’s EtherNet/IP has been tested and is certified by ODVA, Inc.

AMT series encoders from CUI Devices are advanced capacitive encoders with a variety of uses. AMT series encoders are typically mounted to the back of a stepper motor but can be used in many other applications. CUI offers the AMT series encoders with configurable pulses per revolution (PPR). The PPR can be set for most models using the free AMT Viewpoint software (the AMT10-series encoders are configured using DIP switches).
