Electromate LBR40The LBR40 is a slim, stackable linear rotary actuator with a SMAC HT35 direct drive brushless motor.

B&R's intelligent track system SuperTrak is now available in a vertical-mount variant. This helps to optimize the output per square meter of floor space. If products are only transported on the upper side of the SuperTrak, the weight is not supported magnetically. Instead the load is transferred directly to the rollers. The shuttles have a much higher payload capacity.

Festo is meeting the need of the North American automotive sector for a powerful yet flexible valve terminal with IO-Link connectivity on board. Festo’s VTSA IO-Link, now shipping, includes an IO-Link connector for use on the company’s workhorse ISO valve manifold VTSA, and has already become a core product of some automotive customers that want the performance, diagnostics and simplicity of IO-Link on the shop floor.

Balluff’s new absolute magnetic linear encoders with Siemens Drive-Cliq interface are designed to integrate perfectly into Siemens motion controller environments. Plug-and-play installation makes incorporating them into the drive system easy. The controller automatically detects the sensor and its basic settings.

The Drives & Motion Division of Yaskawa America, Inc. is proud to release Yaskawa Compass, a new software user interface tool for advanced manufacturing. Yaskawa Compass is your CNC navigator, a graphical user software package applicable to multiple applications in 3D printing, shape cutting, machine tool, and robotics.

The new DPDM Multimount compact cylinder is Festo’s smallest, lightest and most economical choice yet in its class. It’s ideal for many applications compact cylinders perform, such as stopping or stabilizing small work pieces or work platforms in light manufacturing. It’s noticeably smaller than Festo’s widely used DMM compact cylinder and unique for the variety of ways it can be fastened in place directly. It can be mounted at the front or rear, vertically or horizontally, hence the “Multimount” in its name.

Parker Hannifin has introduced the Parker Service Master CONNECT, a strong diagnostic measuring device for mobile and stationary hydraulic applications, for example, in service, commissioning and in research and development. The device records measurements such as pressure, temperature, flow rate and rotational speed safely and accurately.

ABB recently announced the launch of its Induction xP Plus actuator for paper and packaging manufacturers seeking a powerful, efficient, rapid-acting and safe method for controlling caliper on paper machines calenders. Induction xP Plus rapidly ensures efficient heating up to 100 kW/meter in a highly-targeted area, providing unmatched flexibility for power density and heating zone width.

High performance for demanding applications. Our MOVIAXIS multi-axis servo inverter is motion control at the highest level. MOVIAXIS: the right choice for control quality within demanding applications involving several electrical axes.

Festo designed the new space-saving, flat, DLGF rodless linear drive as a very economical choice for applications where installation space is especially tight, like in electronics, small parts assembly, packaging and handling technology. Since those space considerations can also make a pneumatic drive harder to adjust or service, Festo also made its proprietary self-adjusting end-cushioning (PPS) standard with DLGF. Self-adjusting cushioning saves time and makes processes more reliable; the drive is always providing the correct cushioning.

PB 26 Allied logo 400The fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0, builds off the computerization and digitization of previous shifts and employs artificial intelligence, IoT, cloud computing and remote dashboards that measure and monitor parameters and minute data points related to industrial operations.

Industry 4.0 offers endless possibilities as more production lines are designed and configured with quality sensors. Those who utilize the right sensors, in the right place, for the right amount of time should experience improved system maintenance.
